| Tip 1: Pack one room at a time, labeling each box with a description of it's contents and it's destination (e.g., kitchen, bathroom). Tip 2: Have everything out of your attic and crawl spaces. Not only will this save time, but it will keep you from forgetting items that might have been overlooked. Tip 3: Some items are not permitted by law on the moving truck. You should transport these items, such as: ammunition, hand guns or rifles, aerosol cans, paint, gasoline and propane cylinders. Tip 4: Most important of all, be sure you have all of your personal items, such as wallets, purses, keys, checkbooks, house papers, medical and school records, ect. packed and labeled. Plan on taking these items with you. If you forget to pack items such as glass tops, pictures, and mirrors, you will be charged extra to move them because we will have to pack them up to our regulations. Otherwise you can transport them in your own vehicle to save on packing materials and time. |
