The Basics of Packing Household Goods
1)        When packing for a move, heavier items like
books and should be packed in smaller boxes.

2)        Use your larger boxes for lighter items such
as  blankets, bedding, or lamp shades.

3)        Never pack a box heavier than the lady of
the house can move.

4)        Don't pack your toolbox too soon.  You may
need some of your tools prior to moving day.

5)        Disassemble any items that need to be
taken apart and carefully save any hardware
involved.

6)        Put all of your remote control to all
electronic devices in one box and label it well.

7)        Loosely wrap fragile items with bunched up
paper or bubble wrap.  Be careful when using
newsprint.  Residue from the paper may be left
behind.

8)        Never interlock box flaps together.  Always
tape bottoms and tops of boxes without interlocking
them.

9)        Mark the tops and sides of all cartons with
the necessary info.  Cross/shade out all  other
writing.

10)        Dispose of all open bottles of liquids.
Make sure all cleaning supplies are checked for a
tight seal.  Box paper towels or cloths around them
to absorb any leakage.
